We be doin' things!
Back to work
For the first four weeks, we have equally been taking care of this little bean. But this week, daddy went back to work. Luckily, he works from home and gives mommy a little bathroom break or (fingers crossed!) time for the gym.
Now that daddy is back to work, mommy is doing most of the cooking, cleaning, and caring for Kai. That does mean mommy has less time for herself and (evidently) it shows...
When moms keep it real
New gadgets and hand-me-downs
Two of mommy's best friends from high school have little ones close to Kai's age. Any mom knows what that means! Tradezies! Many of Kai's clothes are actually hand-me-downs from Auntie Nia and Auntie Kelly. Auntie Nia also had lots of fun gadgets to to try like the ring sling and the bath flower. Guess which one Kai liked better?
We got to try out another fun gadget mommy has been waiting to try: her fancy jogging stroller (that we needed a car seat adapter for... did I mention we initially bought the wrong car seat and had to buy another one... did I also mention that we bought a larger car seat that doesn't fit our car rear-facing... we currently have three car seats...). Jogging stroller!
Ignore jogging shoes on the floor and not on my feet.
Milk drunk
Sometimes it's cute. It's mostly scary. I get it though. Food is good. (DISCLAIMER: You may be able to hear a cuss word in the back from the movie we were watching but Kai does fart at the same time so you probably can't hear it)
The bouncer
It's his new favorite hang out spot. Kai is becoming more interested in what is going on around him and now likes to sit in his bouncer and watch home life. (And he plays video games)
A baby and a dog
Scientifically proven to be one of the most interesting things for adults to say, "AWWWWW!" to.
Other things Kai did this week
Meeting new aunties. Smiling. Taking Uncle Rico portraits. Throwing up. Blowing bubbles. Sleeping.
