I will be your sleep Oprah.
SLEEP! WE'RE GETTING SLEEP! SLEEP IS HAPPENING! Kai is sleeping through the night and taking solid naps! MOMMY IS GETTING SLEEP! She may not be getting uninterrupted sleep but now when Kai wakes up in the middle of the night, he eats and is back in bed within a half hour. Putting him down has become much easier, especially if we sing him his favorite song. Mommy is loving the extra energy for both Kai and her.
Playing tourist
Daddy is still working on his app and has just a few more places to visit and take pictures. This week, we went to Maui Ocean Center and Surfing Goat Dairy. Kai got to see many of the fish that live in our Hawaiian waters and loved watching them swim around. He didn't last too long so he missed the mano tank that also had large fish like the ulua, but mommy sure had fun! Kai, however, was unimpressed with the goats.
His legs are strong
Cuz he spends a lot of time in his jumper. The Jolly Jumper was one of the best investments for this leggy bean. He loves spinning and jumping but it's a thousand times more fun to do it with a cloth on his head.
For the past few days, Kai will stop jumping and it'll get real quiet. When I check on him, he's doing this:
Mirror, mirror, on the wall
I wouldn't say our little bean is vain, but he LOVES looking at himself in the mirror (as do most babies at this age). We found a mirror in a closet for him to stare at himself. It's his new thing.
Hanging at home
Kai is inherently a homebody. He likes being at home playing with his things more than being out in public. Here are some pictures of him doing stuff at home with us.
