I'll have a Laugavulin 16, neat.
Kai is almost 3 1/2 months this week! It crazy to see his little personality emerge. Mommy and daddy are having a lot of fun watching Kai smile at the things he likes and they even heard him laugh for the first time this week. It hasn't been quite as fun to learn about things Kai doesn't like but, luckily, there are too many of those (yet!).
He's slowly becoming mobile
Kai is now a little more independent. He doesn't need to be held all the time. He's curious about the world around him and moves around to look at his favorite things. Mommy and daddy make sure to place three or four objects around him when he is jumping or on his tummy so he can practice moving his body. It's exciting to watch him move around on his belly and is a reminder that we had to babyproof soon!
He loves to jump!
Kai loves his Jolly Jumper. He jumps in it every day. He smiles and kicks when we get him in the harness. It's pretty cute. Pretty too cute. Sometimes mommy can't handle. Sometimes daddy give Kai his rattle and he jumps and shakes his rattle. Cuteness overload for mommy.
Helping with the family business
Daddy has been working on a new project and has enlisted mommy and Kai to join him on his "research" trips. Kai got to try poi from Mama's, tour around the west side of Maui, and he even tried to grab a handful of mommy's poke bowl from Tinroof. He is a foodie in the making!
Sleep routines
They are challenging! Kai now has a solid sleep and nap schedule. He is used to napping on mommy or daddy when they work or do chores. Now that he is a little older, mommy and daddy have decided to slowly transition him to napping in his room. Mommy and daddy have some different techniques when it comes keeping this little bean asleep. *note: In both picures, he is asleep. That's right, asleep. In both of them.
It's a boy!
Mommy really wanted a girl. Her hopes and dreams were crushed when the ultrasound revealed the biggest baby balls she had ever seen. Mommy did not make a scene when she saw them. She did not scream at daddy using many, many, many expletives. She did not cry in the car. Nope. She was way super cool about it. She didn't even keep the cute girly outfits she bought.
On that note, toe texting.
