I'm a gamblin' man.
Kai was an active baby this week! Not only did he go out on play dates, he also spent a lot of time practicing his skills like grasping, laying on his belly, screaming for what he wants, kicking things, and jumping. We are starting to keep a closer eye on him now that he has learned how to push himself around on his back.
Why me??!!
Some babies love to sleep. Some do not. Mommy got the kind that does not. Mommy comes from a family of sleeping babies. Kai obviously got this from his father. Mommy has to use a strict sleep schedule for Kai to get enough sleep. One time, we broke that schedule. Mommy thought since everyone is having fun, it's ok to stay past bedtime. He'll stay asleep if she puts him in the carseat. Mommy was wrong. It was not ok. He did not sleep in the carseat. He practiced screaming until midnight. Mommy and daddy paid dearly.

Socializing
For the past two weeks, Kai has had a lot of young visitors. It's been fun to watch them interact with each other, especially Kai and Rory since they are so close in age. It's so cute Mommy entertains the idea of finding other babies for him to hang out with.
But mommy groups make her want hurl a little so she thought: this mirror thing could work. :P
Akamai jumping bean
Kai is one akamai little bean. Mommy and daddy don't have to show Kai more than once how to learn something new. He still loves shaking his little rattle and kicking his toys but now he has a new thing to do that he loves. At first, he didn't quite get it but mommy showed him what to do and off he went.
