Have a seat
Kai has been focused on one skill this week: sitting by himself. What a whole new way to see the world! Kai has been enjoying this new found sense of independence. His grasping skills are getting better everyday and with his newfound sitting skills, what was once on the ground is now in the mouth. Good thing his mouth is just a waterfall of drool, making it a little challenging for germs to swim upstream.
Co-Sleeping
For a couple months now, Kai has been sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed because he woke up many times during the night to eat. This week, Kai has proven that he can now sleep through the night, waking up just a couple of times to eat. Everyone is getting more sleep! But the bed is getting a little crowded...
Bathtime
Kai is finally liking bathtime! He is becoming more wiggly and heavy so mommy and daddy are happy to have a safe option. Mommy can now put him in the sink or his own bathtub and Kai has lots of fun playing with his toys (or dirty pots in the other side of the sink).
Getting ready for the Northwest
The Liu family will be traveling to the Northwest this Christmas and all of Kai's Northwest family are very concerned he will be a Kaicicle when he gets there. Kai has been given lots of warm clothes, including this little number from his 奶奶 and 祖父.
Playtime with Daddy
This video is only here because it's cute to see them play with each other.
Got milk?
Since Kai is sitting up, he's been spitting up. Sometimes he goes for distance, other times he goes for accuracy, other times he dribbles it right in front of him so he can play with it. This has been my personal favorite:
