Delicious mouth parties, where have you been all my life?

Delicious mouth parties, where have you been all my life?

Kai went through another big growth spurt this week! Mommy and daddy have been reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar to him lately and Kai was being a copycat. Kai has turned into a different baby, once again! Remember when Kai was just a little bug on the rug? He didn't move. He wasn't heavy. He didn't touch anything. Those days are long gone! Kai may not be running around the house just yet, but this kid can move! He's scooting, pulling himself up, getting on all fours, and touching everything.

He may be a rollie pollie these days but at least he keeps himself busy. Kai can spend a long time exploring his surrounding and toys. Mommy is (supposed to be) getting more chores done around the house now because Kai doesn't need to be held all the time. Most of the time she just watches her baby look so cute by himself. :)

Sleeping in his own bed
Kai is getting much better at napping in his own bed. Since coming back from the mainland, he's also been practicing sleeping in his bed at night. Even if it is just a few hours every night in his own bed, everyone is getting better sleep because of it... but mommy is definitely missing her cuddle bug...

We still cuddle. :)

We still cuddle. :)

Foodie in the making
Everyday, Kai gets to practice eating for breakfast, dinner, and a midday snack. Most of the food ends up all over him or on the floor. Even though it's hard for daddy to watch Kai make big messes, daddy loves how happy Kai is when he eats. Plus, Maddox is never far from Kai, in case a treat falls from his hands.

Meetin' his peeps, standin' on two feets, killin' us with cuteness.
(Sidenote: we met Uncle Tom last week in Oregon but mommy forgot to post their picture. :))
