Go home, Kai. You're drunk.
Kai is getting close to three months old already! Errday, mommy and daddy are amazed that this once ball of genetic goo is a little human bean focused on learning all he can. Kai now watches what we do and even tries to mimic simple things like facial expressions and sounds. He loves it when we copy the sounds he makes too. He has favorite songs that make him smile and coo. He uses his play gym every day to gain coordination in his hands and feet. And he's growing out of all his first set of clothes.
Mommy has feelings...
He grew out of his "home from the hospital" onesie. Mommy has feelings about this. Lots of uncomfortable, irrational feelings. So she made a video.
Anniversary Date
Our 7 year anniversary was last Saturday and was a perfect opportunity to have our very first date since Kai was born. Auntie Jamie came up from Wailuku to watch Kai while mommy and daddy went to Nuka for dinner. Mommy and daddy never worried because they knew he was in good hands (also, Auntie Jamie sent super cute pictures and videos while we were out :D )
Family beach day
Mommy and daddy were a couple for a long time and even though mommy still misses those days, being a family kind of kicks butt. The next day, we had family beach day. It was glorious.
He's already a musician
Daddy and Kai had a few ukulele and guitar lessons this week. Kai has decided it's time he gets to play too.
We didn't do much else this week. Hid under blankets. Practiced Cantonese. Had music lessons. Hung out with Cullen. Tummy time. Wore dinosaur pjs. Played with dogs. Matched mommy. Rocked a baby mohawk. Almost got his face sat on. Cried. Slept. Played video games and ate poptarts.
