YOU slow YOUR roll!
As I sit in this coveted moment of silence, I reflect on what this past week has been like. Actually, no. I'm really just taking this moment to zone out... and he's gone. No rest for the mommy. Last week, Kai learned how to crawl and it's completely opened up his world. Mommy and daddy hadn't completely baby-proofed the house and now it's becoming a bit of a problem.
Family Picnic
Mommy and daddy celebrated 13 years together this week. They were going to go out by themselves but decided on a family picnic at Giggle Hill instead. Mommy and daddy snacked on cured meats and fruit while Kai crawled around our picnic spot. Last time the family went on a picnic, Kai peed in mommy's crotch when she was feeding him and daddy dropped a poopy diaper. This time, Kai pooped in the grass by the stroller and daddy had to pick it up with a doggy poop bag. Even though we had to move to a different spot, we all thought it was funny.
This little foodie
Kai loves food so much. When he sees his plate he comes right to his chair. He spends a long time tasting everything, spitting it out, tasting it again. Kai is also teething so sometimes mommy and daddy give him foods that are great to gnaw on. Mommy and daddy are very proud of their little eater.
He's kind of emotional
Kai is starting to show a range of emotions that he didn't quite have before. He laughs at things he thinks are funny. He is afraid of things like strangers and the roomba. He has an ear-piercing scream. But perhaps our favorite new thing is his laugh. It just melts mommy and daddy into little puddles; it's so freaking cute.
This is the face he makes when he hears the roomba.
Here is his poop face.

I leave you with one million photos.
