I'm 9 months old today!
Nine months ago, Kai was just a tiny clone of daddy with no personality. Also, he was kind of boring. Now he is cuddly, quick, and inquisitive. He really is growing so fast and time is flying. Mommy and daddy are having so much fun watching him learn new things. This week, Kai changed the way he eats, the way he moves, the way he plays, and the way he communicates. He's had so many big changes, its hard to keep up!
The way he eats
Mommy has started giving Kai larger pieces of food for him to bite. Now Kai takes bites and chews his food for a long time. He eats his favorite foods first. He's less messy (the operative word here is "less") when he eats and has even begun using the spoon by himself.
The way he moves
Kai still crawls around but he has started to get the hang of standing without holding anything. When he balances on his own, he gets very excited and throws his hands in the air (and immediately topples over because it). Last week, Kai figured out how to push the chairs around, but he found a much faster way to move about.
The way he plays
Kai spends a lot of his day opening and closing doors, pulling drawers open, and finding hidden treasures. He does slam his little fingers in the drawers and doors from time to time but that doesn't stop his curiosity. When he gets bored of that, he finds his cars.
The way he communicates
Kai has begun looking to mommy and daddy when he meets strangers for reassurance. He is a friendly, smiley baby, but only after he gets the ok. Kai still gets passed around like a hot potato and even lunges to have people hold him. He's even more happy to see the people he knows.
