There's more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good-looking.
As much as Kai was annoying last week, he is helpful this week. Sometimes, it’s useful (like when he sees me sweeping, he brings me the dustpan). Sometimes, it’s sweet (like when he thought my shoe was stuck on my foot and tried to help me out). Sometimes, it’s uncomfortable (like when he tries to help me pull my pants up after I go to the bathroom). Mama and daddy are still happy they have a little helper.
He’s changing from baby to toddler
Kai has started creating order and following sequences on his own. He’s been watching us more than we really knew! Kai has started putting things away after he is done with them. Mama even watched him go through the motions of making rice (the best he could remember).
Mama has even had to change out his playroom to better reflect his interests. Now Kai has works that focus on learning to draw, learning shapes, colors, and numbers. Kai loves animals and now has life-like animal figures to play with. It’s pretty freaking cute.
He also figured out how to zip and unzip recently.
He’s brave
Kai’s gross motor skills continue to astonish mama and daddy. He’s able to climb things we didn’t think he could climb. He’s going into deep water at the beach and even going underwater without issue.
Before the water videos, Coco. Coco is a very big part of Kai’s life. He listens to the music and/or watches parts of the movie every day. He LOVES Coco. He does his little grito and asks for Coco at least 10 times a day.
One last thing, Kai loves spending time with his friends
Kai is becoming more and more social, especially with his two buddies, Joshua and Jack. Kai runs to them when he sees them and loves having them come over to play. Joshua is just six months older than Kai so they are able to run, climb, and jump around together. Jack, on the other hand, is 8 months younger than Kai. Even though Jack is just getting the hang of crawling, Kai loves chatting with Jack, giving him love, and making him laugh. It’s really fun to watch how differently he plays with all his friends. (We are still missing our BFF Cullen, who was sick last week. :(
