OOOOoooo what have they done??
Mama didn’t take a lot of photos this week. Instead, mama focused on getting the house back in order and restarting Kai’s homeschooling program. Since Kai has been going to school twice a week, mama has seen a huge improvement in focus for circle time at home. Now, Kai sings the songs and does the hand movements. We are even able to have three or four short lessons. Since Kai has gotten a stronger handle of his capital letters, mama and Kai are now focused on reading sight words and learning lower case letters.
Forest Friends photo shoot
We had our usual weekly gathering in the forest. This time it was just Joshua, Jack, and Kai. With such a small crew, there was a mellower vibe and the mamas really got to relax. Joshua’s auntie also took some fun photos of the boys and even made a little video of their adventures.
A lie mama and daddy told themselves
”We’re not going to spoil our kid.” - The Lius, before they had a kid
Ok. So… here’s the thing. We don’t want to spoil our child. Definitely not. But see. You know. The thing is. Well. I mean. What had happened was…
We did.
We didn’t want to. We never got things like he has gotten. We think we’re better for it. But.. I mean… We saw something that was just so cool and so fun and something mama always wanted as a kid and there was only one left in stock and we had family pitch in and… we got something a little extravagant for Kai’s birthday.
We feel really guilty…
So to make us feel better, we have him do chores with it.
Also, he did say thank you.
So now we can just enjoy how happy he is riding it. It’s so freaking cute.
